With the canal as the core axis, Gongshu District opens up the breakpoints along the river, improves the landscape along the river, vigorously promotes the construction of ecological greenways in the jurisdiction, and creates a livable and tourist-friendly Gongshu landscape.
In 2021, Gongshu Urban Management completed the construction of five greenways in Huayuanqiao Port, Cross Port, Baby Port, Xinyi River and Luojiadou River, as well as the Lifoqiao Phase II (railway-related section) river comprehensive protection project, with many highlights of the new greenway.
Open up the breakpoint and realize the direct connection of the Asian Games venues to the Baby Port River is located in the Canal Asian Games Park area of Gongshu District, and last year the greenway along the line was upgraded, and the fruit shell boxes and seats were updated. It is worth mentioning that the project has built a new double-sided plank road under the bridge of Shenhua Road, opening up 2 breakpoints of the garden road, so that residents along the line can go to and from the Asian Games Park from the plank road under the bridge without detouring, so as to better enjoy the fun of the Asian Games.
In order to actively advocate the concept of national fitness and provide a better water-friendly sports and leisure experience for residents along the river, Gongshu Urban Management innovates the process and introduces new materials MC cast-in-place greenway in the baby port and other rivers on a pilot basis, using hemp surface design. Compared with traditional colored asphalt and permeable concrete, the material is more environmentally friendly, color-retaining, anti-aging and sports comfort, and better realizes the function of greenway and sports track.
